Tie Dye DIY

So for the 4th of July a few of my roommates and I decided to do some red, white and blue tie dye.  So I thought I would do a quick post on how we did it!

We got all the supplies from Wal-Mart. I think we got two of each blue, and three red. That was a good amount for about three people to tie dye. I would recommend getting more than you need! The dyes were about 2 dollars a bottle. The shirts were also 2 dollars each.

So let’s get started!

We started by laying out the shirts and googling what type of design we wanted. Then we put the rubber bands on and headed outside to our porch.

Lay a towel down! Probably multiple towels!

So it definitely gets really messy. This is what it looked like when we are all done. Then we let them sit in ziplock bags for 7 hours. We came back rinsed them in the sink and hung them to dry! In the morning I cut mine to make it more of a crop top and then we headed to the beach!

This is the finished product!
